Scott MacPherson: professional head shot

Scott MacPherson, conductor of the Cleveland Chamber Choir, came to the studio recently to update his professional head shot. As a bonus, he and his wife graciously volunteered to take part in my Dark Silver series, an ongoing portrait project featuring real b&w film photos of a wide variety of local subjects.

A professional head shot is essential in today's image driven marketplace. For Scott, we chose a clean, high key backdrop, which provides a timeless and well focused look on the subject. As a professional classically trained musician, we want to emphasize an unaffected confidence and professionalism in the portrait, and a no-nonsense, clean setting helps to do that.
