The Cleveland Eclipse Show at Pinwheel Gallery- April 5th - May 3rd
Opening Reception: Friday, April 5th 5pm-9pm
Pinwheel Gallery is located at 2019 Broadview Rd, Cleveland, OH 44109
April 8th brings the first total solar eclipse Cleveland has experienced since 1806. This exhibit works with sun and time to pay homage to the celestial event with works by Steven Mastroianni and Mary Defer.
Opening April 5th, photograms by Steven Mastroianni- unique, imaginary "eclipses" conceived, built, and developed in the darkroom. These cameraless recreations are created wholly from handmade and found materials, and are epic in proportion, including multiple 60” x 40” panel installations.
The day of the eclipse, Mary Defer will be producing more images that will capture the event, and celebrate Cleveland history with images of Moses Cleaveland trees. These lumens will change throughout the day of the eclipse and their progression will be captured in a set of prints and displayed at the closing reception Friday, May 3rd.
Join us for an artist talk on Thursday, April 11th, at 7:30PM.
Closing Reception: Friday, May 3rd 5pm-9pm
