Succession-Photography by Jonathan Wayne

We're excited to be showing work by Cleveland photographer and educator Jonathan Wayne for the April and May Tremont Art Walk openings at Mastroianni Arts. Jonathan is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art and has his MFA from the Maine College of Art. He is the co-chair of the photography department at Cuyahoga Community College. View the artist's website. The exhibition opens April 9, 2010, with a reception for the artist from 6-10pm, and continues through May 14th 2010. The gallery is open for Artwalk the second friday of every month from 6-10, and by appointment.

My interest is with the memory retained in a place, the cyclical and the beauty of ruin. Whether it is a depiction of a regenerating landscape, a reconstituted memory made temporarily visible or a form that will slowly be subsumed back into the earth, my work deals with history and memory: the fleeting and the ephemeral.~Jonathan Wayne
