1300 Love: Kappa and Ryan
John Ryan and Beth Kappa met at the former 1300 gallery in Cleveland, five years ago. Their collection will showcase a series of individual and collaborative paintings based on vintage patterns and symbolic references to their lives. Color is a major element of the series, focusing on a balance of bright and muted contrasts. This series evokes nostalgia with a modern edge that is anything but sweet. See this exhibit at Mastroianni Photography and Arts with an opening reception on Friday, November 12, for 6-10PM as part of the monthly Tremont Artwalk. The show will run throughout November and December of 2010, with open hours on Friday December 10 as well as by appointment.
