Duo Decibel System CD release party
Duo Decibel System, whom I've had the pleasure of photographing on several occasions, will host a CD release party for their new recording, Slow Wave, on Saturday, November 18th at 7PM at the new studio, 5606 Fleet Ave. in Slavic Village. Guitarist/singer Miss Melvis and drummer/programmer John Scully have honed their chops in a number of Cleveland area bands going back several decades, and have been working with each other for a few years, with one other release under their belt. The new release, Slow Wave, is “Creepy funk, black melodies, electromagnetic Latin, chilled bombs, modular hissing, dobro surf, elementary particle slides, big-banged trumpet, loved … and not so loved.”The release party will feature a performance at 8pm, with an installation by Mark Jenks, who provided the props for the original live performance of Slow Wave last year at the All Go Signs Factory.
